For only £5, a tree can be planted at
Thimbleby Hill Farm which will grow on to become a part of
this new native broadleaved woodland. The dedication and
tree info will also be available to view on-line where you
can type your tree number into our dedication search engine
to find your tree. You and your family will not only be able
to see your dedication on line but will be able to access
links to pictures of the different woodlands at Thimbleby
throughout the seasons, so that even if you are abroad or
unable to visit you will still be able to see the woodland
in which your tree is planted. The
tree is supplied with a tube and stake to ensure its initial
survival. You will be able to visit the plot that your tree
is planted in but individual trees may not be individually
identifiable. This is because our aim is to create a native
woodland that looks as natural as possible.
Trees are planted as part of a plantation
which makes up the forest and which will be managed as part
of the "working native woodland". This means as part of good
forestry practice, some trees may be removed in thinning in
the long term to benefit the forest as a whole therefore the
long-term existence of individual trees cannot be
guaranteed. Should your tree be removed your dedication will
be transferred to another tree of the same species. Trees
sponsored should be seen as a contribution to the woodland
as a whole.
Your sponsorship will help toward the
costs of planting a tree and maintaining the woodland for
fifteen years by which time it will be part of an
established native broadleaved woodland. You can decide
which of the four species below will be planted.
